P2P Video Library: Building a YouTube Channel

See how the Roswell Park Cancer Institute is using and cataloguing a diverse array of videos for its Ride for Roswell P2P campaign.

The organizers of Ride for Roswell — an annual charity ride that raises money for the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, N.Y. — don’t cut any corners when it comes to video.

Each year, the charity produces an array of videos that promote the event, thank volunteers, and explain how to participate.

The promotional video for the group’s 2015 ride is above, but what’s particularly useful for peer-to-peer fundraisers is the sheer variety of ways Ride for Roswell uses video to communicate. You can see the full range of videos on its YouTube channel — which itself offers a great example of how to catalogue and share videos using the popular video-sharing site.

Thanks to Lindsay Truesdell, senior event marketing coordinator for the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, for sharing this example of effective video storytelling.

Does your organization have a peer-to-peer fundraising video? Has one of your supporters taken the time to create his or her own video? If so, we’d love to share it with the rest of the peer-to-peer fundraising community.

Share a link to your video in the comments section below, or send it to us at peter@peertopeerforum.com.

And be sure to check out more peer-to-peer fundraising videos.
