This will be repeated in 2013, when Alpe d’HuZes will take place on Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 June.

The seventh edition of Alpe d’HuZes reveled in an unprecedented media attention, with live broadcasts on radio and television from the Alpe d’Huez by NCRV and NIS. Queen Beatrix spoke on June 7 in a telegram to the foundation her appreciation for the tremendous efforts in the fight against cancer by all participants, volunteers and supporters.

Alpe d’HuKids Next year Alpe d’HuZes expands its activities. Besides climbing the famous mountain cycling in France, the foundation will organize an action in the Netherlands. Under the heading Alpe d’HuKids, on Wednesday, June 5 a minimum of 660 primary schools will operate events and raise funds. “We also want children to experience what it’s like to do something for someone else”, said Van der Waal.

. The proceeds of Alpe d’HuZes one hundred percent benefit the Alpe d’HuZes / KWF-fund.
