Team CIBC raises almost $3 million in the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure

TORONTO , Oct. 6, 2014 /CNW/ – CIBC (CM.TO) (CM) is proud to announce that on Sunday, October 5 , more than 15,000 employees, family and friends either ran, walked or volunteered in the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure, raising almost $3 million .

“The dedication of our employees to create a future without breast cancer is a part of our culture at CIBC,” says Christina Kramer , CIBC’s Executive Vice-President and Executive Run Sponsor. “From raising awareness about breast cancer during Think Pink Week to finding creative ways to fundraise to volunteering at Run sites across the country, Team CIBC joined Canadians from coast-to-coast to make the 2014 CIBC Run for a Cure campaign a great success.”

This year, CIBC also presented the Wall of Hope, where thousands of Canadians shared inspiring words and tributes, at every Run site, online, and at CIBC branches across the country.
